theSwitchback is a relatively new project, a fairly image heavy "magazine style" website featuring MINI related news and reviews.
Trained Monkeys responsibilities for this project included logo design, website design, coding and creation, editorial, photography, hosting and maintenance.
Funky Beads by Sarah Jane represents a welcome break from our more usual work on blogs and forums.
Sarah-Jane initially contacted us through private channels to take some high resolution photographs of her eclectic and highly individual limited edition necklaces.
Feeling chuffed with the results, we began discussions about bringing her company's web presence up to date. As a result we completely changed the Funky Beads website from an old fashioned "static" format into a lively, image led online portfolio and shop which better represents the style and character of the company.

Launched 3rd December 2008, Love Your Body is a campaign and community of service providers brought together by Elaine Boddy of Green and Brown.
The concept behind the site was to appeal to both male and female visitors who need a little help in learning to love their body and be happy with their own self identity.
Elaine wanted the site to be as clear and simple to use as possible, and to provide visitors with a personal and informal text, focusing on the individuals, rather than the businesses they represent. Another key factor for Elaine was the ability to edit and update the website herself when completed. As a result we coded the site using the Wordpress blogging platform as a base, so Elaine, already and experienced blogger, would be able to update the content with ease.

Launched in 2001, spawned from a classic Mini site where the members made it clear they didn't want the new MINI on their territory (yes, it really was that bad).
MINI2 quickly became the leading resource for everything new MINI, and several years later is firmly established as the largest and most visited MINI publication in any format.
MINI2 requires reporting from international and national media drives of the new MINI, editorials to be written, monitoring and administration of the forums, and maintain, update and create the backend.
MINI2 was acquired by AutoForums.com late in 2007, so there's no need to lose sleep over it anymore, but before the sale Trained Monkeys also had to promote the site, deal with email enquiries, sell and maintain banner advertising and sponsorship, and handle all marketing and promotion. Quite a bit really.
Trained Monkeys responsibilities for this project included logo design, website design, coding and creation, editorial, photography, hosting and maintenance.
The website itself is pretty basic, we realise that. But the MINI2 Charity Ball, and the many thousands of pounds it has raised for good causes makes us very proud all the same.
If you represent a big corporation (or even a small one), that could help the MINI2 Charity Ball, drop by the website and offer your support, we'll love you for it!

In the summer of 2008 we moved into our new family home, part of a development of low carbon eco homes produced on a development named Oxley Woods in Milton Keynes.
The ownership experience is proving to be anything by straight forward, so we figured other people may be interested in life at the bleeding edge of eco housing. Plus blogging can be a decent way to get things off your chest!

Real life and the online world collide... Ah-hem, anyway, this site started as a place to make notes and record our (mis)adventures into the world of Self Build.
As it turned out, 'A Plot' opened our eyes to blogging and blogging software. In particular just how simple it is to work with and work on, and gave us the final push towards launching the Motorcade. It also pushed us to open up a Flickr account of our own. How very Web 2.0.
